The Puppy Guide: All you need to know about getting and looking after a puppy.

Can I take my puppy running with me?

As a general rule, and depending on the breed, you should not take puppies running with you until they are an adult. While they are young their joints and muscles are still developing and are more prone to damage and injury. Just as you would not take a small child out running with you, nor should you take a puppy.

Once they are adults most active breeds will enjoy a run with you and it's a great way for them to burn off lots of energy.
