Springer Spaniel Puppy

Springer Spaniels are gundogs with a good nature. They are willing and affectionate and are primarily country dogs.

Springer Spaniels were originally bred to spring game for falconers. This required the dog to have a great amount of stamina and endurance. Later the breed's role was also to retrieve birds.

Springer Spaniels have a dense coat that requires regular grooming and a fair amount of exercise is needed, though puppies do not need as much as adults.

A fully grown adult will normally grow to over 50cm in height with a strong looking body and muscular thighs.
