German Shepherd Puppy

The German Shepherd, or Alsatian as it is sometimes known, is a dog of intelligence and strength. German Shepherds are a popular breed, particularly for use as guard dogs and for police and military work. Dogs will often be trained from when they are puppies.

The breed only came about at the very end of the 1800s, by breeding several different European dogs.

German Shepherds are well known as being dependable and intelligent.

They need plenty of exercise and some grooming and respond particularly well to being trained from puppies.

Most Alsatians will grow to be around 56-66cm and are most commonly a mixture of brown and black in colour.
