Boxer Puppy

Boxer puppies are lively, energetic dogs that are full of spirit and make excellent guard dogs as well as family pets.

The Boxer's origins lie in the German mastiff type dogs and the breed as we know it today came into being in the 19th Century. The original intention was to breed the Boxer as a police dog, with it being ferocious and fearless but also intelligent, controllable and powerful.

Despite its fierce background Boxer puppies are usually trustworthy and make great family pets.

Boxers need a lot of exercise, though a puppy will not need so much as it is important not to over walk young dogs.

Boxers will usually have their tails docked as a puppy as they can be very powerful and damage them easily as adults.
