Beagle Puppy

The Beagle puppy is a type of hound and is very sturdy and intelligent. It is a cheerful and friendly dog who needs obedience training and firm handling.

Beagles have long been known for hunting hares and hold a 500 year long tradition. The smallest dogs, known as pocket Beagles would be carried on horseback to the start of the chase and were used for hunting rabbits.

The Beagle will usually grow to over 30cm in height. Their short coats need little in the way of grooming.

Beagles require a fair amount of exercise, though puppies need less than the adult dogs.
